Why the rule is strict
The piece must be ready for its next home.
Once a piece is worn, washed, altered or detagged, it cannot be offered fairly again. That can leave the artisan’s work unpaid. If we sent the wrong piece, or it arrived damaged, tell us immediately—we’ll make it right.
